Reconnaissance System

Customer: Royal Air Force/Goodrich

The customer
BF Goodrich Aerospace is a leading global supplier of systems and services to aerospace, defence and homeland security markets. The Goodrich team based at RAF Marham run the RAPTOR (Reconnaissance Airborne Pod for Tornado) system, a stand-off electro-optical and infrared (IR), long-range oblique-photography pod fitted to the Tornado GR4.

The challenge
The Goodrich RAPTOR team contacted Antistat with an urgent need for a maintenance kit that could be used to support the system.

The brief

The original brief was to deliver the maintenance kit in around 10 weeks. However, because of global events, the delivery lead time was reduced to two weeks.

The solution

Demonstrating extreme flexibility in our project management strategy, we sourced equipment from around the world to a precise specification. We also handled the testing of the products to ensure optimum performance.

The benefits

See the Toolkit in action (please click on the image), the kit appears at 1 minute 16 seconds, and footage is courtesy of the BFBS (www.bfbs.com/news)
